Artist Comments: OH GOD THERE IS WRITING EVERYWHERE HOLY SHIT I AM SORRY I DON'T KNOW IF YOU CAN EVEN READ IT. I AM SORRY I WRITE SO MUCH I KNOW I'M NOT ACTUALLY FUNNY AND AM TRYING TOO HARD ICK.
1- Oh god the twins. I had to bite my lip to stop myself from squee-ing every time they were onscreen. And 6? If Tim Burton had ANY influence in this movie whatsoever, I swear he was like Edward Scissorhands as a stitchpunk, only super-paranoid. I mean really, he has PEN TIPS FOR FINGERS that is so cooool. *fangirly rant*
2- Eh, I honestly didn't hate anyone. 8 was just kind of boring. And actually, I felt bad for the B.R.A.I.N. D:
3 - My "ship" of this movie is probably 2x5. They're so cute, and 5 just ADORES 2, oh man, I love it. I also love the twins together though I don't ship them with each other, and of course, as I said "6 is sexy and I wants tew do him!" Haa, creepy fangirl alert.
4 - Also, in addition to 6, 5. 5 made me really sad. D: It was so...AGONIZING. 6 was more like the favorite character who I loved and no one listened to.
5 - Actually, to really talk about the movie instead of my silly little doodles, I liked the scene with the record player. It was really cute. Also, the library with three and four. They're just too adorable! Besides, if there's one thing this movie did right, it was visuals. The artwork was stunning. Everything from the old-style news reels to the crazy ridiculous death scenes, the atmosphere, the lighting, the scale, oh man. Even pixar had nothing on this (and that's saying something, since Wall-E is probably my fave movie of all time!).
6 - Okay. The ending. I. Hated. The. Ending. They build these pyre things, and for what? They could have just as easily built new bodies! That said, what was the point of releasing them in the first place, if they weren't saving them? Also, I was sad during the scene when B.R.A.I.N. is getting taken away by the military. AND I know I didn't draw it, but when 9 is dumb enough to insert the key thing into B.R.A.I.N. in the factory! Like, I know he was curious and all, he's curious as hell, but but but agh, way to go, idiot.
7- I do love 64. And actually, she wasn't even built by the same scientist. (Neither of my OCs for this are,) they're actually built by his assistant, who was a college intern testing the technology. Their numbers are so high not because they're that number model, but that's their prototype number. Meaning, that many of the ones before them did not work. Anyway, 64 is definitely like his inner child. She is very curious and likes to follow around 6 and 2. (I do draw her pretty often but my sketches are ugly and in pen, ick!) I also have a boy, number 88, who I'll talk about some other time.
8- Spaaaace Odyssey! Derp derp! I have so many things to say about this, oh man. I actually want to do something like this as a comic, but with HAL 9000, AUTO, and B.R.A.I.N. as "humanizations" all sitting at group therapy with 9. He'd require them to keep a hobby, reconcile with their film's protagonist, etc. I could babble about this all day, but I'll hold off in hopes of forcing myself to do a comic of it. (Or you could force me!)
9 - FACIAL STRUCTURE? WHAT'S THAT? Whoops, gave 3,4, and 5 all the same nose. >_> I see 8 looking kind of like the Heavy from Team Fortress 2, and 6 kind of like a mix between Edward Scissorhands and Johnny the Homicidal Maniac. Hmm...I should actually give it some thought next time when I do that, instead of just slamming out 2-minute sketches. That said though, I like my 2. :3 He's quite sophisticated, dapper, even!
